The final year project, titled "Project Origin 2.0 - An Adventure Into A New Biophilic Tectonics," is sited in Barcelona and explores the symbiotic relationships between humans and nature. Architecture, which originally emerged from and was integrated into nature, has over time become more durable and invasive, encroaching upon the natural environment. Throughout history, two distinct approaches have shaped architectural space: the first being rational abstract geometry, and the second, the archaic mental image of perceived nature. Despite repeated attempts to return to nature, rationality has often prevailed, leading to urban spaces that prioritize functionality while neglecting emotional needs.
This project aims to challenge Western rationalism by adopting a biophilic design approach, offering a new perspective that seeks to reconnect society with nature. The ultimate goal is to create a city garden on the site, representing the next stage in the evolution of urban space.
